European Language Training Centre "SOL Minsk" is an affiliate of SOL UK (Services for Open Learning, Barnstaple, North Devon, UK). The Centre in Minsk was opened in 1998.
Today "SOL Minsk" is a leader in providing efficient teaching of foreign languages.
Minsk is the capital (1.7 mln people) and a major political, industrial and educational centre of the Republic of Belarus (with a population of approx. 10 mln people). Belarus is situated in Eastern Europe and borders on Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania and Latvia.
In the past years "SOL Minsk" has been successfully providing effective language training service for our clients. The basis of our teaching is communicative methodology with three i m p e r a t i v e s :
- to provide effective teaching and learning;
- to provide opportunities for relevant practice;
- to help students enjoy every lesson and have a good time.
The Centre provides the highest standards of teaching, employs highly qualified specialists from Belarus, USA and Canada, implements the up-to-date teaching methods and techniques, offers a wide range of materials and the most comfortable facilities for learning and teaching.
Language courses
We are currently teaching 15 different courses for adults, teenagers, and younger learners in 6 languages: English, German, Italian, Spanish, French and Polish. We also offer courses of Russian for foreigners.
SOL Minsk provides efficient preparation for the following standard British and American exams: IELTS, FCE, CAE, and TOEFL.
NEW: a School of Special Opportunities for kids (aged 2 to 5) "Я Сам!" with English, music, drama, and art!
How to become a student
To enroll in one of our courses a client should:
- take a written multiple choice placement test (20-25 minutes);
- have a spoken interview with one of our teachers;
- pay for the course;
- get ready to have a great learning time!
Duration of the course
Each course (160 academic hours) consists of 5 semesters.
Each semester includes 16 lessons (32 academic hours).
Each lesson is 1 hour 20 minutes.
Each week you may have 2 or 3 lessons.
Time
The first lesson starts at 8 AM. The last one begins at 7:40 PM.
